It seems that not IT companies are releasing even less than common devices nowadays, no doubt seeking to play on end-users' curiosity and willingness to spend more during the holidays.

Computer cases generally have a full set of internal drive bays, so as to be able to house a number of storage devices.

Still, there are some factors that might impact upon just how well a hard drive or solid state drive is affixed inside the appropriate cages.

There is also the fact that, at least as far as HDDs go, the continuously spinning platters cause vibrations that may lead to more noise than one might like.

Not only that, but storage units also have to cope with the possibility of internal system overheating, especially when there are multiple drives close together.

Sharkoon claims to have created a product that alleviates all of these fears at once, one bearing the name of Vibe Fixer Pro.

“The Sharkoon Vibe Fixer PRO is a wide adjustable, versatile standby adapter and decoupling frame for hard drives and SSDs,” states Sharkoon's press release.

Essentially, it is a specially-designed cage meant to be added to the inside of a PC chassis, there to firmly secure either one 3.5-inch drive or a 2.5-inch unit.

It can be placed inside either a 5.25-inch drive bay or a 3.5-inch bay and, in addition to reducing vibrations, can even deliver some cooling.

The product achieves the first of the two goals through special rubber buffers, eight to be more exact, while a fan disperses whatever heat happens to be generated.

Sharkoon offered the possibility of using either an 80mm fan or one with a diameter of 120mm.

Consumers that might want to get one of these in time to upgrade their systems before Christmas kicks in need not wait at all because online retailers should already be listing the product with a price of 9.90 Euro.
