Sometimes, your computer might just be out of reach

Picture this: it's nine o'clock in the morning and you have started your day crawling under the desk to find that nasty power button of your computer. The bad news is that you can't push it with your leg, or worse: you can, but this will have you fired for devastation. The good news is that the Sharkoon Jump Start would let you "ignite" your computer just as easy as you would turn your monitor on.

The Jump Start is a fancy backlit power switch that can be fastened to the desk or in a comfortable and within-reach place to let you efficiently turn on your desktop PC system. The device connects to the computer's motherboard, and acts like a cable remote switch.

The 2.5-meter cable goes through a specially-designed PCI backplate to prevent it from getting pulled off by mistake. Moreover, it can act like a handy USB 2.0 hub, as well as an audio panel with LED headers. All you need to do is to connect the same cable to an internal USB header, and here you are.

The device is more useful than it might look like at the first glance. It is not designed only for lazy people to be able to turn off their rig immediately after the movie playback has ended. Some people have to use computers that either are out of their reach, or they have to be placed behind a glass screen or in a cabinet.

Some other applications for the PC Jump Start include overclocking, where benchmarkers would have to short out the motherboard jumpers with a metalic object, in order to recover the system from a failed overclock.

The Sharkoon PC Jump Start is available immediately in both black ans silver and comes with an estimative retail price of $20.
