It might only be a joke, but then again, if it isn't, you know your next favorite fighter

International basketball superstar Shaquille O'Neal confirmed that a sequel to the fighting game Shaq Fu will be making its way out pretty soon.

Shaq Fu is a 2D fighting game released in 1994 on the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo systems, developed by Delphine Software, a studio famous for their games Another World and Flashback.

In an exclusive interview with GamerFitNation, held at this year's CES convention, Shaquille O'Neal was asked about a potential sequel to Shaq Fu.

“Actually, yes. It's coming soon. And the graphics are crazy. Wait until you see it,” the retired basketball player replied.

While it might have only been a joke on his part, this follows the company behind Shaq.com's recent trademark filing for “Shaqfighter.”

While the original game itself doubled as a joke, a lighthearted reiteration of the 2D fighter might be the only opportunity to say “Shaq is baq” in a legitimate environment.
