Shank 2 Gets Couple of New Screenshots, Shows Off Counter Moves

Shank 2 is definitely one of our most awaited games here at Softpedia, largely because we loved the first one and had lots of mindless fun with it. As such, seeing as how Klei Entertainment, its developer, shared a couple of new screenshots of the title, we more than gladly wanted to show you them.

As you can see above and below, Shank 2 will have special Counter Moves, which allows Shank to immediately react to an incoming attack, steal the weapon from the opponent, and then use it against the unlucky individual.

As such, attacking Shank head on is pretty much a guaranteed way to end your life, as he can grab bare-knuckle opponents while turning the tides on those who wield weapons with their own items.

Shank 2 is expected to continue the story from the first game, while the cooperative mode has been overhauled, replacing the dedicated campaign from the original with a sort of Horde mode. The game is out in early 2012.
