Some people just can't seem to be able to wait. An eager fan or maybe the label itself decided to leak a 30-second snippet of the upcoming collaboration song between Shakira and Rihanna, in preparation of the full release of Shakira's new album.

Judging by the quality of the audio, the leak was not made through official sources, but it does offer revealing clues as to what the song will sound like. Though Rihanna's voice can't be heard on the leak, Shakira does belt out a few notes, including part of the chorus.

It sounds like a very upbeat song, just the thing to get you started in the new year and cure those damned post-holiday blues. In typical Shakira fashion, expect the song to have some Latin influences, as well as some African, judging by the beat.

The video for the song “Can't Remember to Forget You” is also going to be released with the song. The director is Joseph Kahn and, judging by the cover art, he decided to pair the two singers in a classy pose.

“Can't Remember to Forget You” will be premiered later today, January 13, and is expected to rise quickly through the charts.
