A new track from the self-titled album that Shakira has been working on for quite some time has been released online. The song is called “Dare (La La La)” and it sounds like a wicked dance track.
The song was produced by Afrojack and features Shakira's unique vocal skills with a background of what sounds like African chorus singers, somewhat reminiscent of her 2010 World Cup Anthem “Waka Waka,” except this one has a more club sound to it.
The lyrics speak of a new love affair on the dancefloor, with the singer taunting an imaginary partner to dare to make a move and kiss. That and “Lego” bricks, which is a weird choice of lyrics for a love song. Of course, we can't be sure until the lyrics for the song come out.
This isn't the first material from Shakira's self-titled album that is due out next week. She has previously released the hit song “Can't Remember to forget You,” a duet with Rihanna, which also benefited from a hot video with the two singers, and the promotional song “Empire.”
Shakira's upcoming tenth studio is going to feature 15 brand-new songs upon its release on March 24 in Europe, and on March 25 in the United States.
