The singer claims she's happy with the way things are at the moment

Shakira doesn't need an officially recognized union in the eyes of God and the state in order to feel fulfilled. The Latin singer who has hypnotized the world with her sensual dances, which include a lot of shaking of the hips, has gone on the record to say that marriage is the last thing on her mind these days.

People who are familiar with her current situation probably know that the Colombian stunner has been involved with soccer player Gerard Pique for a number of years and the two of them have even had a baby together, a boy they proudly named Milan after Pique's football club.

But it seems that despite being in a romantic relationship since 2010 with one of the most handsome football players in the world, Shakira is in no rush to walk down the aisle, quite the opposite actually.

In her interview with the Glam Belezza Latina Magazine, Shakira, who is widely regarded as one of the most sensual and desirable women in the pop music industry today, revealed that she didn't make a priority out of getting married.

She explains her point of view on matrimony by saying, “We already have what's essential, you know? We have a union, a love for each other, and a baby. I think that those aspects of our relationship are already established, and marriage is not going to change them.”

But don't worry, that's not a definitive decision on marriage. It's not like the singer rules out marriage altogether, it's just that she refrains from taking this big step out of conformity. For many people, spending a couple of years in a relationship automatically means getting married, but Shakira doesn't have the same opinion.

The only way that she would concede to wear a wedding dress would be if her man Gerard would, at one point in time, want to get married. She confessed to the magazine that, “If I'm ever going to get married, he's the one.”

So don't get your hopes up, boys, Shakira is definitely off the market despite the fact that she's not wearing a ring on her finger. You can stop stalking her on social media now.

Interestingly, one of the videos from her latest, self-entitled album, the one for the song “Empire,” mirrored perfectly what Shakira just said. In the clip, the singer can be seen at one point dressed all in white, getting ready to enter a church, with a wedding bouquet in her hands.

At the last minute, she changes her mind and runs in the opposite direction, leaving the entire wedding procession behind. Pique should have been able to take the hints, if not, it's probably too late.
