It's a pretty rare opportunity, but we're doing all we can, and here they are - a couple of rare Shakira bikini pictures featuring the Latino diva's famous a*s and hips - I know, I should be making a joke right about now about how hips don't lie and all, but I'll just let this one pass. Just this once. Shakira, it seems, is taking a well-earned break with her fiance somewhere on a yacht and someone was lucky enough to snap these two shots of the Colombian singer, and, as you can see for yourselves, they're super hot.

You see, I always admired Shakira for being a lady who was never too keen on giving advice. We never see her gracing magazine covers with tips like "I only eat one lemon a day and half a banana every Sunday in order to stay thin". It's very comforting, actually, to see a beautiful, talented and genuinely smart woman not struggling to keep herself in the spotlight like so many others (The Hills, anyone?). I think that natural beauty and grace - not to mention common sense - are much more valuable than faking your own life, reality TV series or sex tape in order to get your 15 minutes of fame.

And yes, Shakira is a beautiful lady who can really dance and damn, when she shakes that booty of hers the room temperature surges way up. Just think what the likes of Paris Hilton would do if they had that kind of a*s-shaking abilities, I don't even want to know. Probably hit at least five paparazzi-infested hot spots every night, jump on tables, get as drunk as possible and cause as much trouble as can be. Lucky for us, Shakira is different. She's not an exhibitionist by nature (OK, maybe sometimes during concerts but she's an entertainer, she must promote herself), she's involved in charity work and she really, really wants to keep her private life private.

I can count at least a couple of hundred wannabes out there who could take an example from the diminutive singer and show their (half-naked) selves less often, while doing their best to improve their acts and be better professionals. And yes, Paris and Britney are at the top of the list. So, enjoy the rare sight of Shaki's bottom and keep your fingers crossed for more of the same. I know I sure will - but I'm not going to hold my breath on it.
