A beta version of this game can be installed by Steam users

Shadowrun Returns, a classic RPG game developed and published by Harebrained Schemes, has been released for the Linux version, although it's still in the Beta stage.

The developers have raised the necessary funds through a Kickstarter project and one of their goals has been the release of a Linux build.

Now, that Linux version has arrived with the help of a huge update the also corrects a number of problems with the game.

Highlights of the latest Shadowrun Returns patch:

• Linux support has been added; • Items can now have a passive status effects that are enabled from the inventory; • Light transitions scripts now allows for gentle or abrupt, repeatable, light patterns via triggers; • Mission objective style screen labels can now display a bar as well as text to track progress toward goals.
