14 DAY TRIAL // The wait is finally over for fans of turn-based tactical RPG genre, as Harebrained Schemes have just announced that their highly acclaimed Shadowrun Returns title is now available for iOS and Android platforms.
Initially launched on PC on July 25, developers have promised that the game will arrive on mobile devices in just a few months and it looks like they were true to their promise.
However, Android and iOS gamers should keep in mind that Shadowrun Returns does not include the editor which comes with the PC version.
Moreover, the mobile version of the game will not contain access to community created content. The good news is that Harebrained Schemes has confirmed plans to bundle the best community content and release it on tablets at some point in the future.
The mobile version of Shadowrun Returns offers a single-player campaign that will provide players with more than 12 hours of gameplay fully optimized for touchscreen input.
Players will be able to create and customize their characters from one of six unique archetypes and get to use different weapons, spells and abilities from over 350 that have been included in the game.
Shadowrun Returns for Android is available for purchase via Google Play Store for only $9.99 (€7.5).
Keep in mind that the game is only compatible with tablets equipped with at least 1GB of RAM that are running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform and up. 1.7GB of storage space are required as well, along with a Wi-Fi connection for download.
In addition, developers strongly suggest that for smoother gameplay experience, players may want to close any other applications before playing Shadowrun Returns.
Shadowrun Returns for iOS is available for purchase via App Store for the same $9.99 (€7.5) price. The game requires an iPad 2 or newer, a Wi-Fi connection and at least 1.6GB of storage.
