14 DAY TRIAL // Shadowrun: Dragonfall, the first expansion to last year's acclaimed sci-fi role-playing game Shadowrun Returns is launching today, February 27, on Steam.
The story is simple, magic returned to our world in 2012, inviting to the party some powerful mythological creatures such as the Great Dragon Feuerschwinge, who busily spread death and chaos across the German countryside until it was finally put down, the event afterward being known as Dragonfall.
Jump forward in time to 2054, and the world is a bit changed, with advances in technology blurring the line between man and machine, and magic being as commonplace as computer terminals. In typical cyberpunk fashion, the corporations are now in charge and teams of shadowrunners now crowd the streets of Berlin, performing all kinds of shady jobs for whoever has the money to pay their fee.
The Shadowrun devs have posted an exclusive play session on GameTrailers, showing some of the new content players will be able to explore in Dragonfall, hilariously voicing over the dialogues and sharing their thoughts while they play.
If you're a fan of the stellar cyberpunk-flavored RPG, the hour-long video is certainly worth the watch, while you wait for the Dragonfall expansion to become available on Steam.
