Flying Wild Hog, the Polish independent developer of recent titles like Shadow Warrior or Hard Reset, has confirmed that Shadow Warrior will soon debut for the PlayStation 4 and that both titles could also appear on Xbox One in the future.

Flying Wild Hog is made up of veterans from other big Polish studios like CD Projekt Red or City Interactive, and it has already proved its worth with the great-looking Hard Reset, not to mention with last year's Shadow Warrior, which looked absolutely gorgeous on the PC.

Now, the studio is hard at work adapting its Road Hog engine for the PS4 console and has confirmed that Shadow Warrior will debut for that platform in the near future.

In an interview with DSOGaming, the studio has revealed that working on the PS4 is relatively easy, thanks to the powerful hardware, and that it's aiming at a detail level comparable to the PC edition of Shadow Warrior on "Ultra" settings.

"It’s always nice to be able to focus on one fixed hardware configuration. Additionally PS4 gives us a lot of a lot of low level control and we love to know what’s happening under the hood. Hardware is pretty fast – our target is 1080p/60fps with ultra PC settings (SSAO and mirrors enabled)," the studio revealed.

In terms of the new consoles, the Polish team is confident that it will be able to use their power in order to implement plenty of other technologies that should drastically improve the visuals of its games.

"As usually for next game the graphic artists and designers will create bigger and more spectacular levels, request better physics effects etc. So – yes, our future games will look better and have better physics. Next-gens also give us an extra computing power. You should expect new features like more sophisticated lighting using PBR (Physically Based Rendering), better dynamic reflections and volumetric effects."

Flying Wild Hog also teased that it's finishing an unannounced game in the following months, possibly a sequel to Hard Reset, so fans should stay tuned for more info.

The studio even hinted at an upcoming adaptation of the Road Hog engine for the PS4 and the Xbox One next-gen console, so versions of Shadow Warrior and Hard Reset could appear for those two platforms at some point in time.

Until then, expect to hear a bit more from Flying Wild Hog in the following months.
