Kylie Minogue has confirmed she will be touring Europe next summer. The glamorous Australian singer – who released her new album "X" earlier this week – has slammed rumors of cancellation and has promised fans that the string of new shows, dubbed "KylieX2008", will be "totally different".
"I am putting together a show that is going to
be a new and exciting experience for both the audience and myself", Kylie said. "The eclectic mix of sounds on "X" is affording me an opportunity to explore and develop a new live show that will be fresh, exhilarating and innovative. My new tour will be a look to the future but will definitely include favorites alongside the new. I can't wait to share it with you next year! See you soon!"
Earlier this month, the Australian pop princess – who was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005 and was thus forced to cancel her "Showgirl" tour in Australia – was also rumored to have canceled the then speculated tour due to health concerns. However, Kylie dismissed the reports as "completely false" and her representatives also released a statement denying the allegations. "Reports that Kylie has canceled a tour are not true. Kylie has not been told by her doctors that touring 'could seriously harm her health'. And touring is something that she is still considering for the future. Her health remains excellent and she is in the middle of promoting her new single and album", is being said in a press release.
The "KylieX2008" tour will kick-off in Paris on May 6th, 2008, including dates in Belgium, Germany, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Northern Ireland and Scotland. The tour will finish on July 27 with a spectacular show at London's O2 arena. Tickets for the UK shows will go on sale on December 3rd and will be available on Kylie's official website www.kylie.com.
