Christina Aguilera is officially Hollywood's most persevering celebrity. Why am I saying this? Well, because every time I see her face in the magazines, I get this strange vibe coming from her, some sort of fierce determination to go on showing off her assets and making full use of her talents, despite some of us not being so excited about her constant presence and her seemingly effortless struggle to put it all on display. But as they say, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, and Christina was never one to allow herself to be deterred by small details and insignificant facts.
Such as, for instance, the undeniable by now reality that her face is not a big magazine cover seller, and that her cover girl appeal (I use the term loosely to include posters and billboard ads) is pretty much going down these days. Latest proof? Neither her racy pregnancy photo shoot for the cover of Marie Claire nor her latest cover of People magazine (with her newborn son Max) were very big sellers. In fact, Christina had the very humiliating experience of witnessing Nicole
Richie's People baby cover outsell hers by over 500,000 issues. Talk about low appeal! In any case, there's no stopping Christina, whose face and boobs we can now admire in a new series of ads for the latest Stephen Webster jewelry campaign.
We'll get our first look at the photo campaign in the April issue of W Magazine, but from what we can see from the newly released photos, the ads are fronted by Christina sporting peroxide bottle-blonde hair and full-on 50s make-up and look like they evoke a Hitchcock film atmosphere in which a wife suspects her husband is planning to kill her. The true highlight of these shots however are Christina's impressive boobs - and although the campaign photos were taken in August (before Christina even announced that she was pregnant), her chi-chis sure don't disappoint. So, boys and girls, have a look at the Stephen Webster jewelry nestled on Christina's fun bags and say "amen", 'cause it looks like those prayers have been answered.
