The vehicle is not that expensive

We all live in a yellow submarine... since 1620, when a jolly Dutchman built the first one ever. Since then, things have gone wild and beyond. I don't know about you, but when I saw this, I said: "Whoa!". In case you're wondering what I am talking about, you should check on it.

This glamorous two seater personal submarine was recently unveiled by C-Quester company at Monte Carlo. This great vehicle comes after the success of the company's earlier single-seater.

To mention just a few of its features, I should tell you this fellow is completely electric, it keeps cabin pressure at one atmosphere, meaning you can travel up and down with no decompression issues at all. According to the company's representatives a single charge will last you up to 2? hours underwater. In addition, to make it even safer, they have integrated a bunch of safety systems including enough air for 36 hours, in case of an emergency.

I guess it's natural for the manufacturing company known as Uboatworx to release a twin-seater version, the CQ-2, which allows drivers to share the submersible experience. I bet there are a lot of couples out there who would enjoy some adrenaline, and more...

As for its technical capabilities, the CQ-2 has four 36V electric motors, two for drive, one each to send the sub upwards and downwards, delivering a total 101lbs of thrust. The batteries should be good for around two and a half hours after a full 14-hour charge. Since it sports a convenient size, it can easily be launched from a yacht or trailer.

Moreover, as Gizmag says, "the control system is designed such that if you know how to drive a boat, you're most of the way to being able to drive the CQ-2. Nonetheless, part of the sale price includes a dedicated and mandatory four to six day intensive course to make sure you know how to use it.

In the course, you'll learn about submersible navigation theory, weather systems, currents, stability, the various systems built into the craft, and the controls of the vessel. The company will only sell into markets where they have a trained service mechanic and a qualified trainer to run the pre-delivery course."

I would gladly take one of these babies home, if it weren't for the fantastic price tag it wears, which - according to Gizmag - is " a bit under a quarter of a million dollars", a little bit more expensive than a standard Porsche. I am waiting for these fellows' next surprise, as I heard there is a four-seater model expected to be released soon. Smooth....Thanks Gizmag for the extra tips!

I think I found the submarine of my dreams! Can it play romance DVDs also?
