Anonymous hacktivists are protesting against the massacres that take place these days

Egypt is becoming a war zone with several people being killed in the clashes between Egyptian security forces and pro-Morsi supporters.

Violence escalated on Wednesday when at least 60 members of the Muslim Brotherhood were reportedly killed and dozens injured in an attack on two protest camps in Cairo.

In the meantime, Anonymous hackers are launching distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attacks against Egyptian government websites.

Their targets are the websites of the National Bank of Egypt, the State Information Service, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Supreme Constitutional Court of Egypt, the Ministry of Information, the Center for Information and Decision Support Cabinet, and the Egyptian Armed Forces.

Currently, except for the one of the National Bank of Egypt, all of these websites are inaccessible.

The “tango down” announcements are accompanied by the #RabaaMassacre hashtag which references the late-July massacre outside the Rabaa Mosque when tens of pro-Morsi protesters were shot to death.

Update. Sources tell me that some of the aforementioned websites had been down before the latest series of attacks.
