They're all Core i5 and Core i7 central processing units

It seems that the arrival of the Haswell “refresh” range of CPUs back in April, and the launch of the Devil's Canyon super CPUs of today, there soon won't be enough room for all the chips running amok the market.

So Intel is preparing to retire a bunch of Ivy Bridge chips. The company released several product change notifications to let the world know of this.

You only have until the end of the year to order them. Well, until December 25 anyhow.

After that, retailers will no longer be actively procuring a supply of them. Shipments will still happen, however, until June 5, 2015 (while supplies last, as it were).

There are seventeen chips in total. Fourteen of them are in the Core i5 series, and the remaining three are Core i7 processors.

There are all sorts of chips too, from unlocked ones (overclockable, with K at the end), to low-voltage models (with S or T at the end) and “simple” ones (no suffix to speak of).

In case you still want the exact list, here it is: Core i7-3770, i7-3770K, i7-3770S and i7-3770T for the highest-end collection, and the following Core i5 chips: Core i5-3330, i5-3330S, i5-3340, i5-3340S, i5-3470, i5-3475S, i5-3470S, i5-3470T, i5-3550, i5-3570, i5-3570S, i5-3570T and i5-3570K.
