Rumor has it that Seth Meyers might be taking over Jimmy Fallon's Late Night Show,” following recent reports on Fallon leaving the show to replace Leno on “The Tonight Show.”

An unnamed insider tells the New York Post that Lorne Michaels has suggested that the “Weekend Update” host should get the job.

“Lorne Michaels wants Seth to take over from Fallon. It would be perfect for him. Tina Fey’s name had also come up, but she has said she was too busy to do it,” the source tells reporters.

Huffington Post wrote earlier this week that Meyers was vague about whether or not he could take Fallon's spot, although he did say that he could never host “Jeopardy!” or “The View.”

“Nobody could do that job as well as Jimmy Fallon,” he said.

Meanwhile, Leno is joking about the rumors, as detailed yesterday, so this could be just a big publicity stunt. Tell me what you think about the reports in the comments section.
