Spending so much time apart because of work finally has its say

Comedian Seth MacFarlane and actress Emilia Clarke have gone their separate ways. The two were first linked romantically in the press last September but reports today suggest that they’ve already broken up.

Spending so much time apart because of work was what led to the split, various sources reveal.

E! News writes that Emilia was away for months working on the new season of “Game of Thrones,” which, by the way, premieres on HBO on March 31, and Seth too had his agenda packed in California.

In other words, they hardly had the time to be together.

“They are no longer dating. It was really a location challenge,” an insider says.

“She has been in Europe shooting Game of Thrones and he is based in California, so it was hard to make it work despite the distance. They have remained friends,” the spy further notes.

In September, Seth and Emilia made their public debut as a couple at the Emmys 2012 – not on the red carpet but at one of the afterparties.

They sat close together and would hold hands and kiss throughout the event, and even posed for pictures, as we also reported at the time.

Presumably, they had already been dating for some time when they made their first outing as a couple.

Before hosting the Oscars this year in February, Seth praised Emilia in one interview.

“She is an incredibly kind, supremely talented person, and one of the hardest-working people I have ever met,” he said.

This was the only time either of them ever addressed their romance in the media. Still, the fact that they made such a cute couple brought them enough attention from the paparazzi so it wasn’t like they still had to talk about how into each other they were: paparazzi photos did all the talking instead.
