If you thought your home's power wiring wasn't going to do anything else, think again, because TRENDnet just announced the 200Mbps Powerline AV Adapter with Bonus Plug, model TPL-307E.

Two of these make up a 200Mbps Powerline AV Adapter Kit with Bonus Plug, model TPL-307E2K.

Basically, these are supposed to be plugged into an electrical outlet and will create a secure high-speed, building-wide network.

At least two adapters are needed for this to work, hence why the TPL-307E2K kit exists, while up to six of them, in different rooms, can be used at once without having to run new cabling.

TRENDnet threw in status LEDs, AES encryption and power saving technology, letting them run on up to 70% less energy while idle.

200Mbps Powerline AV Adapter with Bonus Plug costs $69, while the 200Mbps Powerline AV Adapter Kit with Bonus Plug costs $129.99.
