14 DAY TRIAL // A Turkish hacker using the online moniker SaMuRa! has somehow managed to deface a section of the official Service Center website of Acer Thailand (www2.acer.co.th).
The hacker, a member of the TurkHackTeam, has told HackRead that he has breached the website to show the Taiwan-based hardware and electronics corporation “its worth when it comes to cyber world.”
At the time of writing, the site still displayed the image and the message posted by the hacker. A mirror of the defacement is available on the hacker’s zone-h.org account.
I’ve attempted to contact Acer to see if they’re aware of the breach, but the site appears to be experiencing some issues and the contact page is unavailable.
If they’re not aware of the breach, it might take some time until they notice the defacement page since the hacker hasn’t replaced the homepage of the site.
