One day after Serious Sam 3 received a major update that included lots of bug fixes and improvements, developer Croteam launched an even bigger update for Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter.

The update brings support for VAC and colored chat messages in chat consoles. Once the update is installed, Serious Sam HD can start even if XInput is not properly installed or not at all.

The long list of changes includes a bunch of bug and balancing fixes, including the following:

"- Leaderboard for SV_TripleTrouble now works. - Fixed player banning not working and re-enabled player time ban in voting menu. - Ammo items are no longer allowed in case infinite ammo game mode is enabled. - Crouching now doesn't emit any footsteps. - Added a HUD element that shows the names of people currently transmitting via voice chat."
