Serious Sam 3: BFE, one the flagship titles for Steam on Linux, has just received another update, this time as a Beta.

The developers are making great efforts to improve the game on Linux and have launched quite a few patches so far. The latest is just as consistent as the previous ones. Here are some of the highlights:

• A rare crash potentially occurring after picking up a scaffolding pole has been fixed; • Support has been added for customizable controller bindings; • A rare crash on loading certain levels in Serious Editor has been fixed; • A rare crash in the lua script execution has been corrected; • Unresponsive input that appeared when the framerate was low on Linux has been fixed.

More details about the changes introduced with the patch can be found in the official announcement on Steam’s website.
