He’s probably still cooperating with the United States government

Hector Xavier Monsegur, the man known on the hacking scene as Sabu of the LulzSec group, should have been sentenced today. However, the sentencing has been delayed once again.

This is the fifth time this has happened. Initially the sentencing was scheduled for August 2012. Since then, the government has asked the court to postpone the sentencing in February, August and October 2013.

Nate Anderson, deputy editor at Ars Technica, has called the office of Loretta A. Preska, the judge responsible for the case. He has been informed that the sentencing has been delayed.

So far, the date for which the sentencing has been re-scheduled is unknown. We'll probably find out in the upcoming days.

In the meantime, some interesting FBI documents have surfaced. They reveal that Sabu might not have been the only member of LulzSec who has collaborated with authorities. There were at least two others who were arrested in late June 2011.
