For a product to take some time to reach stores after the initial unveiling is fairly common, but few are those that can say they took as long as a certain set of headphones from Sennheiser.

The past month has been a time of many product launches and revelations in regards to what will happen in the following weeks.

Among them, there were a few devices that finally reached stores after being kept in the lab for various periods of time.

One that might just top them all in terms of just how much it allowed itself to be waited upon is the Sennheiser CXC 700.

This set of headphones made its appearance as far back as CES (Consumer Electroncis Show) 2011 and has only now just been delivered.

It features a price of $319.95, not the most affordable to be sure, but its feature set is, indeed, superior to many other rival solutions.

With an active noise attenuation of 23dV (relies on an AAA battery), the product is intended for use during travels and has three noise canceling modes, thanks to the NoiseGuard/digital system.

"NoiseGard /digital is the consistent further development of Sennheiser's analog NoiseGard technology," explained Daniel Chee, Product Manager for the Sennheiser Travel Line.

"The possibility to select one of three different modes that are optimized for different environments considerably improves the noise-cancelling effect. Precise filters generate a result that is up to five times better than that of the analog system."

Sennheiser also threw in the benefit of metalized components, a frequency response of 20 to 21,000 Hz, the TalkThrough function (users can communicate without removing their phones) and in-line control box.

Finally, the cable measures 1.4 meters and the product bundle includes a 6.35mm jack plug adapter, an in-flight adapter, a cleaning tool, a diaphragm protector, three sets of ear adapters and the obligatory AAA battery.
