Wireless support isn't necessary for a proper hands-free experience, as Sennheirser's newest products will prove, even promising to bring some balance between cost and performance.
The school season has resumed and, with universities also going back to their routine, people are bound to start traveling or just walking a lot more than usual.
In other words, this is the perfect time for a new bunch of mobile devices and accessories to show up.
Samsung obliged easily, announcing the “Smart and Green” experience, of which the 30nm
4Gb LPDDR3 is representative.
The company also revealed the
HM7000 Bluetooth Headset, the same way Plantronics launched the
Marque M155.
Now, Sennheiser is joining the club, although it didn't go for wireless support, settling for the 'standard' earphones with cable design.
More specifically, a
report says that two products were completed, named CX 215 and MX 365.
They should be already up for order, at prices of $40/$41 (29.59 / 30.33 Euro) for the former and $21 (15.53 Euro) for the latter.
This does seem to fit with the goal of balance between performance and cost, although the contrast with other items differs.
While the Samsung HM7000 is clearly in a different category (price of $99.99 / 73.41 Euro), the Plantronics Marque M155 isn't more expensive by overly much, for a wireless product ($59.99 / 44.04 Euro).
That said, the MX 365 has dynamic drivers, an impedance of 32 Ohms and a frequency response of 20 to 20,000 Hz.
It sells in six color options, so as to appeal to as many users as possible (brown, bronze, orange, red, blue and white).
Meanwhile, the CX 215 has the same frequency response, an impedance of 16 Ohms and noise isolation, plus a contoured design for better in-ear fit and a symmetrical cable. Sennheiser also gave it blue, bronze, red, orange and green color options.
