Send Your Stuffed Animal to Prague with Toy Travel

A new type of travel agency has come to life a short while ago: in case you ever wondered how your stuffed animal feels when you go on vacation, you can now return the favor and have it (or him or her, depending) go on holiday instead – thanks to Toy Travel.

In other words, for a fare that starts at 120€, you can send you fuzzy (and inanimate) friend on a trip to Prague, from which, the agency promises, he/ she/ it will return well rested, energized and with lots of stories to tell.

The agency offers various packages, with the most expensive (150€) even including an aromatherapy massage, a picnic, a customized travel box and a duvet, aside from the album photo, daily communication and more.

The idea behind this new type of business is that stuffed animals also have a heart – and Toy Travel knows precisely how to cater to its needs.

Though the idea seems ludicrous enough, it has caught on very well, at least if one is to judge by the feedback on the official website. Owners, it seems, are happy to know their stuffed (inanimate) animals are happy.

“Cool, Frog has never had such fun, the photos from the massage and aromatherapy were really neat. My girlfriend wants to send her pink panther too because he was jealous about Frog. Really good! Fred Patten,” one such happy customer writes.

“Hello Toy traveling, I’d like to thank you. I was excited about how the whole trip went. I read about what my teddy saw on that day, how he was, it was real fun. The pics are great. Prague is wonderful, I must recommend it. I guess he’ll go to another trip soon. He’s just blinking at me that he is. Your Clare,” another one says.

To send your teddy, doggie or camel to a trip to Prague, you first have to choose the package you want, Toy Travel says. Word of advice: choose it together with your “darling” because it’s your “darling’s” holiday you’re deciding.

After you pay for everything, including to and from transportation, you have to ship your “darling” in a well-sealed box to the Czech Republic, where he / she / it will be treated royally for the duration of its stay there.

While on vacation, your stuffed (inanimate) animal will be treated to a tour of Prague, be photographed at all the landmarks he / she / it will visit and even taken out to dinner, if the option is included in your choice package.

In other words, the “darling” will be treated exactly as if he / she / it were a living and breathing thing. Moreover, you will also have the possibility to keep in contact with your animal on a daily basis, either via email, Facebook or other channels.
