14 DAY TRIAL // Square has announced a brand new service which enables anyone to send cash with their iPhone by simply sending an email with the amount stated inside.
You can use Square Cash to send money to anyone with an email address, and Square Inc. promises that it’s “fast, safe, and free.” You don’t need to create an account, but you will need to enter your debit card information before you send off any cash to your friends and family (or ransom to kidnappers, depending on your circle of friends).
“Just securely link your debit card to start sending money. It’s free to send, and free to receive money directly to your U.S. bank account,” according to the company.
Square says your information is routed through a secure connection and kept private, with the ability to either confirm or reject any transfer, at any time. The money automatically deposits to your bank account within 1-2 business days, according to Square Inc.
