14 DAY TRIAL // Actress Selma Blair is a first-time mommy. The 39-year-old star of “Hellboy” and boyfriend Jason Bleick welcomed their first child together on Monday: a healthy baby boy, the star’s publicist confirms for People magazine.
Selma kept very active until the last days of her pregnancy, walking around town on errands with Bleick and sporting a huge baby bump.
When asked about the gender of the baby, she always refused to say whether she was having a boy or a girl. It turns out, she was carrying a son, the aforementioned magazine writes.
“The actress, 39, and her fashion designer boyfriend, Jason Bleick, welcomed son Arthur Saint Bleick on Monday, her rep tells People exclusively,” writes the celebrity mag.
While he may have a rather uncommon name, the boy is in perfect health. “Arthur weighed in at 7 lbs., 12 oz,” People says.
Selma and Jason met while working together on his clothing line EVER, and announced the pregnancy in January.
As is usually the case with celebrities, Selma was constantly papped during pregnancy, with many fashion watchers praising her style and the ability to mix and match items and always be elegant.
The obsession with the star got so great that, at one point, the British tabloids were even counting how many days past her due date she was, though she never gave an exact date of birth.
Before dating Bleck, Selma was married to rocker Ahmet Zappa. The wed in 2004 and got a divorce only two years later.
For now, no word on whether Selma and Jason are also planning on tying the knot.
While they wait for photos of the mommy and her bundle of joy to come out, fans should know that they will be seeing Selma next in the drama “Dark Horse,” starring Justin Bartha, Christopher Walken and Mia Farrow.
