14 DAY TRIAL // A Facebook scam that’s currently making rounds promises users footage filmed with a hidden camera that features Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. In reality, this is just another way of advertising a classic survey.
“00ps!!! There was a hidden camera in Selena & bieber's bedroom [LINK] WOW HaHa it's really so funny ~ Don't Miss it!” reads one of the variants of this scheme.
According to Graham Cluley, the link takes potential victims to a website that replicates Facebook. The malicious page urges visitors to share the video with their social network friends in order to gain access to the much-awaited “prize.”
Users who share the scam are presented with an online survey that earns the crooks a certain amount of money every time someone completes it.
Those who already fell for the scam are advised to immediately remove the messages posted on their walls to ensure that it doesn’t spread.
