Newly single Selena turn to good friend Taylor for a pick-me-up

Over the weekend, Selena Gomez and ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber tried to make their relationship once more before getting into a very public fight and officially calling it quits. Afterwards, she sought consolation with her best friend Taylor Swift.

Selena and Taylor were snapped out for dinner together and, while under normal circumstances, this would hardly make it on celebrity blogs, this time, it’s causing serious waves online.

The explanation is simple, as TMZ points out: Taylor is probably the best person to offer breakup advice, she being one of the most notoriously unlucky in love young female celebrities out there.

“You're a 20-year-old female pop star and you've just broken up with a famous fella... who better to understand what you're going through better than the Queen of Breakups, Taylor Swift,” the e-zine writes.

“Yes, Selena Gomez shared a meal in LA last night with the woman who has famously been linked and then unlinked with the likes of Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, John Mayer, Cory Monteith, Toby Hemingway, Jake Gyllenhaal, Zac Efron, Garrett Hedlund, Eddie Redmayne, Harry Styles and Conor Kennedy,” the same publication further writes.

In other words, if Taylor really did have a thing with all these guys and was then dumped, she probably knows just the right things to tell Selena to make her feel less sad about her and Justin not working out.

According to reports online, the two had been having issues for months, mostly because they would only spend so little time together.

The fact that Justin was always surrounded by screaming, adoring female fans and that some of them are even models did nothing to ease the tension so, by the time he attended Victoria’s Secret annual show all alone, things were pretty much over between them.

That, however, was the straw that broke the camel’s back, it is being said. Selena called everything off a couple of weeks ago and, for a while, Justin tried to get back into her good graces – and failed miserably at it.
