The claws are out on this one, and Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez, two of the most notorious singers in the pop music industry, are both out for blood. There is no denying that the two had clashed before, but never so directly, since up until today most of the feuding has been done from behind the scenes.

But this week, Miley Cyrus took it to the next level and brought out their feud out in the open, when she publicly dissed Selena in a concert she held in Milan, Italy, on June 8. Miley, controversial as ever, decided that it would be fun to perform her new song “FU” (the meaning of that acronym needs no explanation) with a cardboard cutout of Selena on stage with her.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that Miley was poking some mean fun at the singer. Showbizspy is now reporting that Selena heard about the diss and she's not a happy camper.

“Selena already knows that Miley will do anything for attention even if it means dissing other people,” explains one source, trying to offer some insight into Miley's way of thinking. The Queen of Twerk surely needs no other scandal to make her popular, but she decided to take a swing at Selena nonetheless.

“Selena would never do what Miley did and doesn’t really have any respect for her in the first place. She thinks Miley’s number one priority in life is getting attention and she actually feels sorry for her!” the insider adds.

That may be true, but, at the moment, there might be more than feelings of pity for Miley in Selena's heart. Remember, that these two have been at it ever since it was rumored that Selena's break-up with Justin was caused by the fact that he cheated on her with Miley Cyrus.

The “Wrecking Ball” singer has never addressed the issue but talk from behind the scenes confirmed that Selena had set up her own little “boycott Miley” group, which included two other disgruntled singers, Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato. All of the girls used to be good friends back in the day, but Miley has since moved on, and there doesn't appear to be a tear in her eye over those times.

We find out that this isn't a rare occurrence, it's just that this time Miley made things public: “There is definitely no love lost and they talk [expletive] about each other behind closed doors all the time. This just happened to be made public. Selena thinks Miley is lame, but expected this from Miley since they both don’t like each other.”

Let's see if Selena will rise to the occasion and counter with an equally public diss. Not that Miley Cyrus can't take it. It seems that these days criticism is the only thing she gets.
