Teen heartthrob is working on his 4th studio material now

Justin Bieber is now working on his fourth studio material, his first since the 2012 hit “Believe.” He needs it to be a smashing hit because he needs to reach more diverse audiences, so he’s going through a stage in which he’s learning how to present himself as a grown-up artist instead of a teen heartthrob.

Part of that is getting rapper Kanye West to produce the album, which is yet to get an official name or release date. Kanye West is, according to Kanye West, “a god” and the most creative person working right now in the industry. He is a genius and he says without a modicum of modesty.

All jokes aside, as annoying as Kanye can be when he can’t stop bragging about himself, musically, he is very talented, as he’s proved time and time again in the studio. He also has that magic touch that can turn a regular single release into a smashing hit.

So Justin got him for the album.

Another way in which he will make the world perceive him as more grown up is by getting personal: The Biebs admits to Ryan Seacrest in a new interview (audio and video below) that much of the material is inspired by his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez.

“It was a long relationship that created heartbreak and created happiness and a lot of different emotions that I wanted to write about,” he says. He won’t be trashing her or anything, just allow himself to get candid with his fans through his music.
