Selena Gomez planned a lazy summer Sunday afternoon yesterday, but she didn't bank on the increased attention she would be getting from paparazzi because of the Justin Bieber – Orlando Bloom incident. That increased attention seems to have been too much for her because it may have caused her to get into a car crash.

X17 reports that the “Come and Get It” singer was pulling out of a 7/11 parking lot on August 3 with the paparazzi in tow, when she managed to back into a small SUV with her own black BMW SUV. She was out on the town for some quality time with her girlfriends, but it quickly turned pear-shaped.

Thankfully, nobody was injured in the crash that was described as a “fender bender” by eyewitnesses. It seems that both cars sustained minor injuries to the bodywork, Selena's car in the back, and the other car in the front.

Right after the crash, Selena didn't exit her vehicle. One of her friends exited the vehicle and immediately started cursing at the people in the other car. This little tizzy fit didn't last long and after exchanging a few words, the two parties involved managed to work their differences out.

Selena's friend exchanged information with the driver of the other car and then they both got on their way. Seeing as how this was a minor traffic incident, the police was not called on the scene, and Selena was able to drive away and enjoy the rest of her Sunday afternoon.

After the accident, Selena got on her social media and blamed the hoard of paparazzi following her for being a distraction and causing her to rear end into another car. She tweeted to her fans, “Only I'd get into an accident because of men with cameras who have great careers and offer the couple a package at Burke Williams. Oh LA.”

From the sound of things, Selena gifted the driver of the other car and his partner a day at the luxurious Burke Williams Spa in Los Angeles as a way of apologizing for crashing into their vehicle. At least she had the common sense to acknowledge her own fault and didn't try to use her fame to get out of paying compensation.

Selena is by no means the first celebrity to cause a crash while in the middle of a paparazzi chase. In her case, she's lucky there was no extensive damage and there were no people involved, as that might have caused the police to show up and then her Sunday afternoon would have been a whole lot worse.
