Yesterday it emerged in the press that singer Selena Gomez secretly went to rehab for two weeks at the beginning of the year to tackle some major issues in her life. The media implied it was for drugs and alcohol abuse, but the singer's reps said it was for “personal reasons,” indicating to fatigue.

Now it's come to light that the singer might have “voluntarily” decided the seek help, but she didn't stay for the full nine yards. She did just two weeks out of the six-week program the Arizona facility she attended prepared for her.

Although the 21-year-old was strenuously warned by medical professionals and the rehab clinic staff that she had to stay and complete the program, Gomez took off after 14 days.

The only reason her management agreed with her decision is because she said she would return after attending the Sundance Film Festival. Except she didn't. After the festival was over and the promotion of her film complete, she flew back to LA where she began hitting the town with friend Demi Lovato.

According to the Hollywood Gossip, Selena believes that because she completed the first two weeks, which are said to be the hardest and are also called “Survivor's Week,” she's done the whole program and managed to shed her addiction.

Her view is not shared by the staff of the rehab clinic or by her management. One of the reasons why Selena is believed to gone the addiction road is said to be her previous relationship to troubled teen singer Justin Bieber.

Justin is currently battling drug abuse himself, except he positively refuses to seek any help, denying admittance to rehab and continuing his string of parties throughout the continental United States with his irresponsible father and his entourage.
