Leaked footage that features celebrities in private moments are not uncommon and crooks are relying on this to fill their pockets with affiliate cash. The latest celeb whose name is used in such a scam is Selena Gomez.

Alerting Facebook members that they’ll lose all the respect they have for Selena Gomez if they watch a video clip, the fake message actually points to a survey website which requires the victim to provide sensitive information in return for some alleged prizes.

After the link is clicked, the social media customer is taken to a site which promises more fabulous winnings, but in reality, no one ever wins anything except for the ones that launch these operations.

They will earn a certain sum of money for each user they dupe into visiting the survey site.

In the past, Rihanna, Soulja Boy and other famous people’s reputation was used in similar scams.
