Sega is known for the development of some of the best tennis games to date and we can understand their desire of trying to switch a little to the more casual part of the gaming world with
Sega Superstars Tennis. Developed by Sumo Digital and published by Sega on the 17th of March 2008 in Europe, the 18th of the same month in North America and the 27th of March in Australia, the main attraction of Sega Superstars Tennis was Sonic the Hedgehog, their money-making iconic character.
Still, Sonic was not the only Sega Superstar jumping in for some tennis play – no less than 15 franchises are represented in the game. The title has received mixed results but I have always considered it a below-average one. Lack of graphical detail and the poor gameplay are just two of the most important reasons Sega Superstars Tennis was not a brilliant title. Still, it has a lot of fans out there and we are absolutely sure most of them would love to know all the unlockables introduced by the developers in Sega Superstars Tennis. So, here they are!
