14 DAY TRIAL // “Seeking a Friend for the End of the World” is a rom-com / dramedy that will hit theaters on June 22, proposing a very interesting premise: you have 3 weeks until the end of the world. How are you going to spend them?
The film tells the story of one man (Steve Carell) and one woman (Keira Knightley) who fall in love as they set out on a mission of finding their loved ones: their final mission before an asteroid crashes on Earth.
While the idea of finding love in the most unexpected of places has been done and re-done before, the trailer for “Seeking a Friend” promises a solid rom-com, with accents of drama in all the right places.
The film also stars Adam Brody, Connie Britton, Derek Luke, Patton Oswalt, Melanie Lynskey, T.J. Miller and William Petersen.
It's directed by Lorene Scafaria and is scheduled for domestic release on June 22, 2012.
