If you ever wanted to know what the inside of an Apple laboratory looks like, now’s your chance to apply for the Equipment Lab Assistant job. Apple needs a guy or a gal for its Santa Clara offices in California.

Apple is seeking an Equipment Lab Assistant to support the Hardware test engineering labs and assist one or more lab spaces, including equipment preparation, maintenance, shipment, and management of supplies and tools.

The new recruit will update the equipment inventory when it runs dry and support prototype requests at inventory, audits, and at mini-lines.

Of course, Apple is only hiring well prepared individuals, such as those with ASEE in Electronic Technology or solid industry experience in field.

The applicant further needs to have hands-on experience with electronic product assembly, prototype work, and functional verification, and experience with lab equipment (including RF communication testers, digital multimeters, spectrum analyzers, etc.).

Computer skills are a must. Knowledge of the Mac is imperative, as is MS Excel proficiency.

Other key qualifications include the ability to “work odd hours and weekends,” and some strong arms: “must be able to lift 50 lbs.”

If you think you’re hitting all the right spots, go ahead and apply for the job right here. Only one opening is available, so hurry up before someone else snags it.

In case you’re skilled in other fields, Apple has also posted several other job openings today, including: Hardware ATE Engineer; Engineering Manager, Portable Macintosh; Mfg Process Development Manager;ADC/DAC Analog Designer; Analysis Engineer - UMTS/LTE; Logic Design Engineer; Factory Test Design Lead; and Layout Designer.
