Protect your websites against cyber threats with an easy-to-configure firewall

This week I’m recommending another useful WordPress security plugin. It’s called Simple Firewall and it’s capable of protecting WordPress websites against various cyberattacks.

Simple Firewall has a simple interface and is very easy to configure. The application has two main components: a firewall, and protection against bots and brute-force attacks.

The firewall includes IP address whitelisting and blacklisting, a recovery feature that allows users to manually enable/disable the firewall via FTP (in case the admin accidentally locks himself out), logging, email alerts, and email throttling.

The login and identity protection component is independent from the firewall, so the IP address whitelist is not shared.

The latest version of Simple Firewall allows users to secure their websites with email-based two-factor authentication, GASP anti-bot login form protection, and a login cooldown interval.
