A WordPress plugin that allows even non-technical users to protect their websites

Considering that there are a lot of WordPress websites out there and that many of them can be easily compromised by hackers, this week, I’m going to recommend another WordPress security plugin.

Developed by SEC Consult, MVIS Security Center is designed to help administrators protect their sites against online threats.

The plugin’s dashboard allows even non-technical webmasters to take benefit from MVIS Security Center’s features. For each of the issues it identifies, the plugin also provides solutions.

MVIS Security Center allows users to check for outdated WordPress versions, themes and plugins. It also checks for problematic WordPress settings, files that might be vulnerable to hacker attacks, and user accounts with low security.

Particularly, the latest version of the plugin identifies weak user accounts that can be exploited in the latest distributed brute-force attacks.
