14 DAY TRIAL // This week’s security app is Cloudmark’s DesktopOne, an application designed to protect Mac users against spam and other threats such as phishing and email-borne malware and viruses.
Released last month, DesktopOne for Mac is recommended not only for regular users, but also for small businesses.
The solution is easy to deploy and it’s compatible with Apple Mail and Microsoft Outlook for Mac, and supports Snow Leopard, Lion and Mountain Lion OSX versions.
Cloudmark DesktopOne is available in two versions: Basic Mode and Pro Mode. The Basic Mode is free for individual users. The Pro Mode costs around $20 (16 EUR) per year and it’s recommended for families, small businesses and power users.
The Pro Mode comes with additional capabilities and allows customers to centrally manage the anti-spam protection of all email accounts.
