Maureen Jett, a product director from VanDyke Software, has announced that SecureCRT 7.2.0 is now available for Linux, for both Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux OSes.

SecureCRT 7.2 provides terminal emulation for computing professionals, raising productivity with advanced session management, and a host of ways to save time and streamline repetitive tasks.

“SecureCRT 7.2 adds the ability to zoom sessions, an execute local shell command that provides the ability to do port knocking or run a batch file before connecting to a session, as well as a number of time-saving scripting enhancements,” reads the official announcement.

Also, a personal data folder has been introduced in the 7.2 release, where usernames, passwords, and automated logon information can be stored separately from other configuration data.

A complete list of features and updates can be found in the changelog. Download SecureCRT 7.2.0 right now from Softpedia.
