Victoria Beckham once infamously made headlines when she said she didn’t work out because she couldn’t picture herself wearing anything but high heels. She’s definitely changed her mind since then.

Not only does the former Posh Spice get a lot of exercise whenever she can – she says because she doesn’t want to rely on Photoshop for her photos to look good – but she’s also speaking about it, something she wouldn’t have done before.

In a recent interview cited by FitPerez, the fashion designer reveals that her secret for her tiny figure is running – and not starving herself, as tabloids have often speculated in recent years.

“I run four or five miles every day on the treadmill. For me I like the fact I can get off whenever I want… I’ve also started seeing a trainer at the gym and he’s fantastic. Brutal, but absolutely fantastic,” Victoria admits.

Her husband David vouches that, indeed, Victoria is a big fan of running. He, on the other hand, would rather be outside than on the treadmill, he states in the same interview.

“Victoria’s obsessed with working out. She’s in the gym every morning… But I hate running and not getting anywhere,” David chimes in.

“I like to be outside. I like to run on the roads late at night. When I’ve got the day off, I’ll go to the gym with Victoria. There’s this amazing gym in Santa Monica we go to,” the football star explains.

In November last year, Victoria hinted that she was a big fan of running, while also saying she’s lucky she was never the type to go crazy over fatty foods like hamburgers.

Back then, she said her secret was salads and espressos, as we also reported. She had a double espresso in the morning, ran “like a bat out of hell” on the treadmill for a while, and would afterwards grab a salad for lunch.

“I’m not going to lie – I’m not one of those people that says, ‘Oh, I eat hamburgers.’ I eat salad,” the star said at the time.
