Secret of the Lost Cavern HD for iPad Updated to 1.1, Still Bugged

French developer Coladia has recently announced the release and immediate availability of Secret of the Lost Cavern HD 1.1 for iPad, an update to the original game launched a while ago.

The good-looking Secret of the Lost Cavern is an adventure game that throws players into an amazing journey that takes place during the Paleolithic period in prehistoric time, 15,000 years B.C.

The gameplay and each puzzle are especially designed to take advantage of the touch capabilities of the iPad. The game looks like a usual point-and-click type of adventure.

While the installment of the original had around 500MB, it seems that new version doubled the size of the file, which is now 935 MB.

Secret of the Lost Cavern HD 1.1 only brings English, French, Spanish, Italian and German localizations, Facebook support, and fixes a bug that would crash the game when talking the first time to Tikka.

It seems strange that the developer didn't let the players choose to download the language they want, while in-game, instead of forcing all users to download the entire 1GB file that contains localization for languages they don't need.

For those that didn't had the chance (or money) to play Secret of the Lost Cavern HD, the game lets you take the role of Arok, a prehistoric hunter, who remembers an encounter with a charismatic traveler a long time ago, when he sees some strange symbols in a cavern.

This is where the adventure begins, as Arok enters a fascinating and bewitching Stone Age adventure. Or at least that should've been the case, if the new update didn't failed to correct frequent crashes that make the game not only frustrating, but unplayable at points.

The game requires an iPad running OS 3.2 or later and 935 MB storage space. Secret of the Lost Cavern HD 1.1 is available on the AppStore and costs $9.99 USD. The iPhone version of the game is also downloadable for $4.99 USD.
