A cloud music player project for SkyDrive was started approximately one and a half years ago, but Microsoft seems to make some real progress with its new web-based player.
The editors over at LiveSide have found out some secret code hidden in the SkyDrive.com page which actually demonstrates that Microsoft is currently testing what seems to be a music playing feature for this particular service.
A pretty basic screenshot of a potential music player was also discovered and, although it looks pretty awkward for the time being, it’s actually living proof that Microsoft is really working on such a feature.
While it’s not yet clear whether it will feature Xbox Music integration or not, such a cloud music player would allow the Redmond-based technology giant to compete against the likes of Google and Amazon.
