After Barack Obama was re-elected President of the United States, one woman from Turlock, Denise Helms by her name, took to her Facebook page to vent, saying she hoped someone would assassinate him on his second run. The Secret Service is looking into the threat.

Below, embedded at the end of this article, is a video interview with Helms, courtesy of Fox40.

“Another 4 years of this [N-word]. Maybe he will get assassinated this term,” Helms wrote on her Facebook wall.

She later deleted the post but it was online long enough to be seen by a handful of people and, from there, spread like wild fire.

The Secret Service too found out about it and is looking into the situation as a potential threat to the life of the President.

Helms, on her part, isn’t really that worried. She believes she did nothing wrong, and insists that she wouldn’t personally go out to make an attempt on Obama’s life. Neither did she encourage someone else to do it.

However, if someone did and even succeeded in it, she wouldn’t bat an eyelid.

“The assassination part is kind of harsh. I’m not saying I’d go do that or anything like that, by any means, but if it was to happen I don’t think I’d care one bit,” she tells Fox40.

“Well, it’s not something I would dwell on. It’s not something I would be upset about,” Helms stresses.

As for the use of the N-word, the woman insists she’s not racist, saying her friends of various races and cultures can attest to that.

Fox40 notes that Helms will probably get away with the Facebook slur / threat because, legally, she did nothing wrong. Nevertheless, “if the Secret Service perceives her as a credible threat, she faces a Class D felony charge,” the same media outlet points out.
