When I grew up, we were taught to respect the President - regardless of who it was. Voting for President is a duty as an American citizen, and we should be grateful that we can vote for who each of us feels will improve our individual situations. It turns out that the popular vote would benefit more from an Obama agenda. It's shameful the hate that exists and can run rampant in our society today - and even more so that it's hidden behind freedom of speech. Our soldiers do not fight for that freedom so people can be ignorant and claim "freedom of speech" while spewing hate left and right. There are consequences - which is probably why this woman lost her job. I am sure the Secret Service will find her nonsensical diatribe more of an irritant versus anything to act upon, but their job as the Secret Service is to investigate the incident, as it would be for any President in office.

Please note that I consider myself a fiscally Republican, and socially Democrat, but I can still recognize and appreciate that the job of President, regardless of party affiliation, is owed my respect. Obama isn't un-American. He doesn't hate US citizens. The people who spew that crap make me so angry to share a political affiliation with them. So the guy I voted for didn't win? The entire Freedom Of Speech premise is so misunderstood in this country, as the Amendment alludes to it does not protect statements that are "uttered to provoke violence or incite illegal action." 50 years ago if you made the kind of comments against a sitting president you see in email 'forwards' today, you could be arrested for treason. The laws have not changed and I am surprised that the secret service/FBI have not investigated those who make threats today.
