Secret Agent Clank was developed by High Impact Games, the creators of the Ratchet and Clank franchise. It is an exclusive for the PlayStation Portable handheld console. It is a spin-off to the original series, being the sixth installment in the franchise. It was released in June this year, and features Clank in the interesting role of a secret agent. The game is, of course, a parody of the James Bond series of books and films.
Clank is depicted wearing a tuxedo in pure James Bond style, and has at his disposal quite a few technical gadgets which help him through his adventures in the game. Among these gadgets, there are a bow tie which can be used as a boomerang, or a rose which can turn into a giant carnivorous plant which devours its enemies. Although this game is the newest in the franchise, it isn't the first one to depict Clank as a secret agent. He also appeared in such a role in the game Up Your Arsenal, being unlocked in a side story. An interesting feature of the game is the presence of cutscenes in which the player must press a sequence of buttons in order for his character to sneak around. The gamer also has the ability to play as Ratchet or Captain Qwark.
