14 DAY TRIAL // As the Mel Gibson – Oksana Grigorieva scandal is getting uglier by the day, a second woman has come forward to speak against the legendary actor and director. Violet Kowal, 26, reportedly dated Gibson for about 3 months last year – and broke it off when he started calling her and making threats over the phone, she says for Fox News, as cited by the Daily Mail.
Of course, why it took Kowal so many months to come forward to this leaves ample room for debate on her real motives for doing this. Nevertheless, she paints a picture of Mel Gibson similar to what the entire world believes of him right now: he’s a very aggressive man who is accustomed to getting his way around women and who wouldn’t think twice about threatening them if they don’t comply. Kowal, who describes herself as a fitness model, says she got to see that when Gibson first started calling her.
Kowal and Gibson reportedly started dating when he was still married to Robyn, which is why it’s only explicable why he’d want the affair to be kept out of the media. When news of the romance transpired to the press, Mel lost his temper and started calling Kowal, accusing her of leaking the story and then threatening her that she’d get hurt if she continued doing so. It was then that she realized that he was a very, very dangerous man, she says.
“He called me up screaming and said he would make me suffer. I was so scared of him. It was a huge emotional experience for me. I was close to going to the police but instead of that I went into hiding for a few weeks. So, when he was calling me and when we were seeing each other I thought we were just friends and we had an intimate relationship. He never talked about Oksana or the baby. It was like they weren’t in his life. In the beginning of the relationship everything was perfectly fine,” Kowal says.
At first, Mel Gibson seemed a very affectionate, loving and tender man but it only took this much to get him completely ticked off and making threats. So far, neither the actor spokesperson nor any of his attorneys have yet commented on the latest claims.
