The Shanghai Tower, the tallest building in China and the second tallest in the world, is almost completed, reports say.

The skyscraper is set to be open soon, according to VOA News. The ceremonial opening took place on Saturday, when one final beam was hoisted on the top of the building. Once workers completed the project, flags were raised to mark the moment.

The Shanghai Tower features 125 stories and is about 2,073 feet (632 meters) tall. The world's tallest building is currently the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, standing at 2,722 feet (830 meters).

The work is not yet done on the architectural masterpiece, as designers move to the interior to complete the space.

The skyscraper should feature office space, luxury hotel accommodation, shops, banks, and perhaps even a museum.
